Gavino Ramos, Fred Flores and Jennifer Nguyen and all of their city partners who helped organize the week's logistics including a special public kick-off event at the Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum. The event included remarks from Mayor Becky Ames, Lamar University President Dr. Simmons, BISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas and Time Warner Cable's Gavino Ramos. Our community and education outreach events included visits to Ozen High School, Msgr. Kelly High School, Harmony Science Academy and a presentation to the Beaumont Rotary Club (thanks to Honorary Rotarian Chad Blanchard).
